Shizzy sky

We rarely get a decent sunset in Shijiazhuang owing to terrible pollution, although recent weeks have seen unprecedented clear skies so I am trying to remember to take my camera out with me to capture some of the sunsets whilst they last. This, however, is a more typically Shizzy sky. I think the flags are probably left over from the Spring Festival celebrations.

  1. I think the sun is really trying out there just for you. That´s a lot of flags, like a net. Are the people there trying to keep out the birds from food or what!:-)

  3. That was really cute!! Is there anywhere in China that isn't so polluted, and are there any uninhabited areas left?

  9. So interesting -- I read several of your posts. I like the banners: where the air is polluted they still give people a reason to look up in gladness. Good luck to you.

  12. Great title! The flags are pretty, and is that the sun's orb showing through? The light is kind of pink, too.
Such a shame about all the pollution.

omg! i thought the sky pollution got better already. i worked in that place for 2 years and often in those 2 years my tonsils are infected due to the air pollution. when i moved to another city (a clean one) and came bck to visit, i end up sick after the visit.

but thanks for sharing that sky shot. ive been under that sky for 2 years. was teaching english too...i thought one day i will be back there for a visit.

i played too this week..hope you can drop by.

  15. The day looks a bit drab but you have made it look festive with the colourful flags and one can still see the sun in her glory robe settling for the night. I think this is a great picture.
