I promise I did not edit this in Photoshop (well, apart from to crop some shingle from the bottom). Walking along the beach at dusk yesterday, the muddy sand, sea and sky were all this intense blue colour. I've lived by the sea almost all my life, and never seen this light effect before. And to think I nearly didn't take my camera!

ReplyDeleteIt certainly is very blue! I wonder what caused this phenomenon. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteTHAT is what I call blue! Lovely :-) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you just weren't there at the right time. just kidding, it is a spectacular nature phenomena. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNow that is BLUE! What a fantastic shot! So glad you took your camera!!! Really stunning!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Sylvia
Wonderful blue picture. Nature is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou captured this deep blue colour very well, great shot!
ReplyDeleteAh, one must always take one's camera when out for a walk... the same place may appear radically different at different times of day, weather, seasons... makes me think of the series of paintings Monet did of the Rouen Cathedral facade... all different...
ReplyDeleteBeautifully blue photo, just need a piece of blues to listen to with it...
J: A neat scene and we should always keep our camera at hand.
ReplyDeleteSometimes at dusk, the color of blue that comes through my windows from outside is ethereal, and I often look at it and think, "no one would believe it...." It looks totally like a lit-up stage for drama.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great color. Truly lovely. See, you did find something you enjoyed about winter weather!
ReplyDeleteTruly blue!
ReplyDeleteStunning shot of the sky!
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing color. Once in a lifetime, perhaps. Good for you for keeping your camera with you. I caught a crazy reddish dawn the other morning. I'll check to see if you have an email and will send it to you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue! Isn't it easier to enjoy the things we grew up with, once you've been away for a while? It makes one see the little things as if for the first time... I'm glad you brought your camera along, J!
ReplyDeleteLook at that - such intense blue. Looks as if a slice of heaven fell into your lap!
ReplyDeleteIt was incredible, I've never seen anything like it before, and I've lived in Worthing for about 24 years.
ReplyDeleteJanie - good point - I was too busy enjoying it to even remember it was winter!
Kathleen - I don't have an email on here, I'll send it to you.
Esther - it's true, I've really seen Worthing in a new light since I've come back from travelling. I've appreciate more things about it, but also been frustrated at aspects that could be so easily improved.
ladyfi - great comment, must remember to keep my eyes out for slices of heaven. :)
That's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow, absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNice that you remembered it, though! We are the beneficiaries! Thanks for coming over to mine the other day. And congrats on potw mention...
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. I'm always forgetting my camera (sigh).
